Special Edition. RIP Ric Ocasek of The Cars

A quick look back at Cars founder and frontman Ric Ocasek.  The Cars were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018. “Trophies aren’t too important for me,” Ocasek said at the induction ceremony. “But I’ll tell you what — it’s better to be in than out.”  Ocasek was more than just a frontman. He produced albums from Bad Brains, No Doubt and Weezer.  

#3 Week of 8-26. The Kinks crank up the fuzz, Grave Robbers want Elvis. Pearl Jam release Ten. We lose Stevie Ray Vaughan, Izzy gets wizzy and Alice Cooper declares school over.

This week Sonny & Cher go to number 1.  Stevie Ray Vaughan is killed in a helicopter crash. Pearl Jam release a classic.  Lot's of Elvis stuff. The Beatles meet weed. Creed is huge, for a little while. Izzy Stradlin takes a leak on a plane.  A couple of curse words.

Imagine “Satisfaction” with Keith Richards iconic guitar riff replaced by a horn section.  Robert Plant celebrates a birthday. Derek and the Dominoes work on a classic. Thin Lizzy gets bronzed. Keith Moon parks in a pool.  Queen create Bohemian Rhapsody.  Don't call CCR's music old. The Doors hit the studio. What were the most played songs on a jukebox? #1 Week of 8-12th. John Lennon and Jesus, Bon Jovi gets firewood, Green Day and mud, Sir Mix A Lot and ass.

Bon Jovi gets paid in firewood. Green Day get in a mud fight and piss of mom. John Lennon creates confusion with Jesus, Sir Mix a lot loves a big juicy ass. Woodstock is 50.  Left handers rock!  My time meeting Metallica.  Princess Leia's bikini cost how much? I cover a lot.  A couple of curse words in this episode.
